Kwam dit nog tegen, met het oog op het feit dat de XV 1900 een mechanisch de-compression systeem heeft gebaseerd op een door rpm geactiveerd systeem, en de XV1600 een electrisch geactiveerd systeem (welke laatste je dus "makkelijk" kan uitschakelen door de solenoid los te halen).

Wat jij gemeten hebt (6 bar = 87 psi) lijkt mij (ondertussen) dus prima, en/maar vooral een evt verschil in de 2 cilinders van meer als 10psi zou misschien wat meer onderzoek vereisen. (Tenzij de de-compressie op maar 1 cilinder werkt, da wittik nie).

14 bar (= 200 psi) lijkt mij wel heeel erg hoog...of misschien is dat met draaiende motor/bougies/ontsteking en wordt door de verbranding die veel hogere compressie veroorzaakt.

Just to make things interesting, a number of the newer, big single, dirt bikes have an automatic, spring loaded, Compression Release located on the Exhaust Camshaft.
These bikes will have a normal compression pressure that is quite low, because of the Compression Release.

For example, the Kawasaki KLX650A should read 50-85 PSI. Kawasaki KLX650C is 57-87 PSI. Honda XR650R is 87 PSI with decompressor applied and 160 PSI with decompressor not applied.
